This season, truck owners will compete for prizes in Christmas parades where trucks are the main attraction.
For two decades, up to 100 trucks have assembled in Eureka, Calif. for the annual Christmas Truckers Parade, Multiple generators have been used to light trucks, festooned with additional decorations ranging from bandstand platforms to flying fish. This year’s event benefits Families Advocating Autism Now and begins 6 p.m. Dec. 14 at Redwood Acres Fairgrounds. Click here for more information on the Eureka parade.
In Oregon, the 19th annual Timber Trucker’s Light Parade will make its 5-mile trip from Riddle to downtown Myrtle Creek Dec. 14. Entry fees are not required for participants, who throw candy and trinkets to spectators along the bonfire-lined route. Free refreshments will be available at the event that begins at dusk and ends about 10 p.m.
